Lil is a successful commercial model, actress and host.  She has been singing and dancing since she was a young girl, having performed in musicals and choirs since elementary school through high school.  Lil’s mother was a major influence on her.  Her parents were immigrants to the U.S. from South Korea and Lil is a first generation American.  Lil’s mom was a pianist and sang opera.  She grew up listening to classical music and operas in different languages.  Lil has experience in piano, violin, ballet, ice skating, swimming, cycling, running, triathlons and has dabbled in the martial arts.  Lil has a M.B.A. and an undergraduate degree in Psychology.  She took a break from her creative side and worked in Corporate America after her college years only to return to her true passion in 2004.  “Former cubicle dweller turned actress” is how Lil described her career change to her friends from being a Manager at a software company to an Actress.

 

Lil has appeared in national commercials, independent films, TV shows, web videos and performed voice over.  She has written and performed sketch comedy with Beverly Bonner at Broadway Comedy Club.  She is actively involved in giving back to the entertainment industry by volunteering her time with the SAG Foundation as a judge for the Short Film Showcase (2016), American Classical Orchestra (ACO), Asian American Film Lab (AAFL) and as representative of the Screen Actors Guild in the Collaboration Award Committee (2015) for the Women in the Arts & Media Coalition, Inc.

 

Lil was Associate Producer, Reporter and Host for over 30 episodes of Top of the Morning, After Midnight, The Children’s Corner and An Evening with Kenneth Hari, TV shows in Baltimore that had a viewing audience of over 100,000 local residents plus viewers on the internet.  She was also Associate Producer, Production Coordinator and Casting Director of the feature films; The Calling of Inanna and Associate Producer of Pearly Girl.  Lil won six (6) Telly Awards as both Talent and Associate Producer with McDonagh-Davis and Associates, an award-winning production company with a long history of community involvement in the Baltimore area.  Most recently, Lil was involved as misc. crew, Casting Assistant and Locations for pre-production of The Opposite of a Fairy Tale, a short film about elder abuse produced by the Asian American Film Lab in New York City.

 

She also spent a summer doing a broadcast TV reporter internship in Washington, D.C.  She interviewed Fire, EMS and local law enforcement police officers and detectives in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for the local news networks (NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX).

 

She trained with Giles Forman and Janet Amsden of The Giles Forman Centre for Acting of London, Chinese American Actor and Master Trainer Tzi Ma and Steve Hanneman of 1817 Film Studios in Burbank, CA.
